Thrifting is my church.

Furniture found me first. Rehabbing my home led me to furniture refinishing. There's something about a piece that everyone else walks past — worn finish, outdated stain, good bones underneath — that I can't leave alone. Stripping it back and bringing it forward is its own kind of thrifting. Just with a paintbrush.

I've always dreamt of having a booth one day — and after a year of sourcing and really honing in on what I'm drawn to, that dream became Moss + Amber Vintage.

The pieces I pick are the ones that stop me in my tracks. Stoneware with that brown drip glaze. Amber glassware that catches the light. The serving bowl that makes you want to set the table just to use it. I'm literally sharing what I love.

I want to put a smile on someone's face — even if it's just to jog a fond memory.

And I'm happy to keep worshipping at the thrift store altar as much as possible.
